Each directing project serves as an opportunity to create something new, expand our imaginations and find a new story to bring to our audience, no matter their age or background. Rehearsals are typically centered around actor empowerment & discovery, and focus on a process that allows actors to fully own and inhabit their characters. During rehearsals, a heavy emphasis is placed on actor-driven spatial relationships and shapes in order to accurately express the emotional journeys of characters, and at the same time, create imaginative and interesting stage pictures that contribute to story-arc clarity. The ultimate goal is to take the audience on an emotional journey alongside each character, and to provoke thought and conversation at the end of each performance.
